Product Operations Manager – Data & Ecosystem Platform athenahealth
is building the future of healthcare technology—and we’re looking
for a Product Operations Manager to help us get there. In this
individual contributor role, you’ll drive strategy, execution, and
operational excellence across a portfolio of high-impact features
that power our Data & Ecosystem Platform. Based in Boston, MA or
Belfast, ME , you’ll join the Product Operations team , which
delivers analytics-based, consultative guidance rooted in best
practices across the software development lifecycle. As part of
athenahealth’s mission to build a connected, scalable, and
future-ready healthcare platform, you’ll support a portfolio of
features that enable frictionless integration across providers,
payers, labs, and public health systems; drive open ecosystem
innovation through APIs and partner solutions; and leverage
data-driven insights to improve clinical and operational outcomes
in value-based care. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in

prioritize and manage multiple complex projects while exercising
sound judgment on when to act independently or escalate. You also

opportunities for development and leveraging available tools to
drive success. What You'll Own As a Product Operations Manager for
the Data & Ecosystem Platform team, you’ll primarily support
features across multiple scrum teams and zones, with occasional
collaboration across subdivisions. You’ll play a key role in major
change management initiatives, driving product management and
release best practices across R&D and release readiness
stakeholders. Your work will be embedded in team and R&D
operating cadences, including teach-and-learns, workstreams, and
release readiness activities. You’ll own zone-level portfolio
strategy and execution across three to four zones, ensuring strong
roadmap outcomes and proactive optimization from Boulder to Done.
This includes conducting monthly portfolio reviews with zone
leaders, aligning strategic priorities with internal and external
customer roadmaps, and clearly articulating value at both the
feature and aggregate levels. What You Bring Bachelor's Degree
required 7-10 years overall professional experience, with 3-5 years
in product operations, product management, or related fields Strong
knowledge of product management and/or applicable healthcare
domains (revenue cycle, EHR, population health, patient engagement)
Understanding and experience with interoperability, integrations,
value-based care, and leveraging payer connections preferred Solid
understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices Highly
self-driven, with the ability to teach and learn at a fast pace
Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder
management across multiple zones Uses data and metrics to inform
prioritization and process improvements Communicates effectively
across teams and with cross-functional partners (e.g., release
readiness, product analytics, UX) Contributes to customer-centric
planning and execution Experience with client communications in a
B2B setting preferred Travel & Onsite Expectations Travel: 5–10% of
time In-Office: >48 days of in-person collaboration per year
Expected Compensation $121,000 - $205,000 The base salary range
shown reflects the full range for this role from minimum to
maximum. At athenahealth, base pay depends on multiple factors,
including job-related experience, relevant knowledge and skills,
how your qualifications compare to others in similar roles, and
geographical market rates. Base pay is only one part of our
