across the world every day. The Principal Data Scientist is a
senior individual contributor and technical leader on the Customer
Analytics team. This role leads the development and delivery of
customer-facing analytics and data science solutions, with a focus
on scientific rigor, scalable implementation, and measurable
business impact. The position partners closely with Customer
Solutions, Data Engineering, and Customer Success to translate
complex business challenges into production-grade analytics,
machine learning, and AI capabilities that improve product outcomes
and client value. CMT is looking for a collaborative,
customer-committed, and creative Principal Data Scientist I,
Customer Analytics who wants to join us in making roads safer by
making drivers better! Responsibilities: Serve as a technical lead
with a deep understanding of modeling methods from underlying
mathematics, to assumptions, tradeoffs, interpretability, and
limitations to ensure results are robust and reliable. Use
independent judgment and discretion to frame ambiguous business and
customer problems into well-defined data science problem
statements, project plans, modeling approaches, and measurable
success metrics Develop and implement advanced statistical and
machine learning models end-to-end, including data pipelines,
feature engineering, model development, validation, deployment, and
ongoing monitoring Partner with analysts to build reporting
dashboards and data products that convert model outputs into clear,
actionable insights for internal stakeholders and external clients
Complete any additional tasks as they arise Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience and/or
certification in a related field 7 years of working experience in
data science, machine learning, advanced analytics or AI-focused
roles Deep foundation in statistics, experimental design, and
causal inference, including the ability to explain methodology
choices and validate assumptions Demonstrated experience deploying
and maintaining models or analytical systems in production using
CI/CD practices, including monitoring and performance management
Strong data science language in Python (required) and SQL
Familiarity with Databricks, MLflow, Spark, or similar modern
data/ML platforms Compensation and Benefits: Fair and competitive

position is: $153,800 to $192,300. This range is specifically for
