About the Opportunity JOB SUMMARY The Learning and Brain
Development Lab (PI: Juliet Y. Davidow) at Northeastern University
in Boston, MA, USA (https://lbdlpsych.sites.northeastern.edu/) is
excited to invite applications for a full-time Lab Technician. The
Lab Technician will be responsible for conducting a National
Science Foundation CAREER Awarded project, which includes
conducting research study sessions in developmental cognitive
computational neuroscience. The position also requires some general
administration and supervision of the lab. The lab investigates how
neurocognitive development during adolescence influences behaviors
like learning, memory, decision-making, and executive functions. We
use a variety of tools to ask about neural and behavioral
mechanisms, including creative behavioral paradigms, computational
models, and non-invasive brain imaging, conducted on campus at
NUBIC, a state-of-the-art imaging center with a research dedicated

A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in psychology, neuroscience, math,
computer science, or other related field is required by the start
date Master’s Degree (MA/MS) is desirable but not required.
Experience conducting research with one or more of the following is
required and should be mentioned in the application materials:
interacting with children, adolescents, and families in research
capacities, conducting statistical analyses, working with brain
imaging data, coding in computer languages, and communicating
scientific findings through manuscript writing or conference
presentations. Other preferred experience includes conducting
independent research, authoring a thesis, or engaging in public
facing science education and outreach. This full-time position will
be an ideal way to learn more about research in psychology and
neuroscience for individuals considering future graduate study.
Position start date is May 1, 2026, but can begin immediately.
Later start dates may be discussed - for example to accommodate
graduation dates later in May ’26. This is a 2-year position
(renewal for year 2 is contingent on performance). To apply, please

Compensation Grade/Pay Type: 105H Expected Hiring Range: $20.77 -
$28.56 With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will
depend on several factors, which may include your education,
experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well
as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the
role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to
change.
