AbbVie AbbVie Co-Ops. The Science & Technology (S&T)
organization within AbbVie Operations leads the optimization,
validation, implementation, continuous improvement, and global
technical support for therapeutic proteins. The S&T Co-Op
program provides students with robust projects based on business
need. Students will do meaningful work that has a real impact on
our business and patients worldwide. Possible 2026 Fall Co-Op
assignments are in the following departments: Bio-Process
Development: The departments mission is to design, deliver and
support the biologics manufacturing process for AbbVies pipeline
and partnered products through clinical development and commercial
life cycle with quality, speed, and manufacturing excellence. This
is achieved through a focus on targeted product quality, CMC
acceleration, people development, and efficient workflows. Key
groups include: Cell line development, Cell culture process
development, Purification process development, Scale-up lab, and
Analytical development. Cell Line Development: Responsibilities
include performing manual and automated processes to generate
monoclonal cell lines and to execute various studies on these cell
lines leading to the collection of a comprehensive data package for
the final clone selection. The team utilizes state-of-the-art
automation instrumentation and cutting-edge molecular biology tools
at various stages of cell line expansions and performance
evaluation. The group also carries out the design and quality
control of the vectors used for cell line generation as well as the
genetic characterization of the cell lines. Key Responsibilities
Include: Executes experiments in bioprocess development and
manufacturing support with supervision. Performs basic data
acquisition and analysis in a timely manner. Assists in
experimental designs and data interpretation. Documents work
appropriately in lab notebooks and technical memos; contributes to
writing technical reports Maintains lab equipment and optimizes lab
operations for efficient use of time and resources. Troubleshoots
equipment and experimental problems. Assists in continuous
improvement activities. Qualifications MinimumQualifications Must
be currently seeking aMasters degreein a scientific or engineering
discipline (preferably Chemistry/Chemical Engineering,
Biosciences/Bioengineering). Must be enrolled in university for at
least one semester following the co-op Expected graduation
datebetween December 2026 June 2027 Aseptic technique,
transfection, Nucleic acid extraction, PCR, gene editing, Next
Generation Sequencing, Western blotting, Immuno Precipitation, data
analysis using Excel, Graphpad Prism. Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to molecular biology techniques including DNA/RNA
extraction, PCR, gene editing, Next Generation Sequencing Aseptic
technique Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher preferred Excellent
problem-solving, written, and verbal skills Exceptional
interpersonal, leadership and project management skills Proven
track record of teamwork, adaptability, communication, innovation,
initiative, and integrity Desire to learn and execute scientific
experiments Keep update with published literature Good time
