Job Description:
SUMMARY: Plan and schedule material and production orders that
come in through ADS and material requests. Assist in stockroom.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other
duties may be assigned.
- Confer with production personnel, engineering, materials,
production mangers, and customer service to resolve problems
affecting production schedules and status of assignments and
projects.
- Work with Marketing and Engineering as planning liaison.
- Act as customer service point of contact for providing commit
dates for production orders not captured by the system as a
standard.
- Confer with materials department to determine overdue materials
and parts, and to inform production supervisor of material
status.
- Check material availability for lead time quotes and production
scheduling.
- Print WO as required for issue of materials from stockroom and
for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture
of product for Accelerated Deliver Schedule (ADS).
- Maintain Excel spreadsheet with information necessary to track
and measure time spent quoting lead time.
- Process RGAs.
- Maintain files of documents used and prepared.
- Review and expedite shortage reports daily.
- Schedule production work orders based on Master Schedule
Report.
- Provide backup support for the stockroom as needed. KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Requires knowledge typically acquired
through:
- Completion of a High School diploma or general education degree
(GED),
- A minimum of six months to three years of related experience or
training.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short
correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and
small group situations to customers, employees, and clients.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of
measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
interpret bar graphs. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job
