Job Summary:

Whole Life Engineering Naval Power Programs, has an opening for an Support Equipment Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead supporting the Barracuda Program. The IPT is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team of Engineers, Global Supply Chain and a major subcontractor. The scope includes generation of requirements, design, development and testing of the identified Barracuda Support Equipment.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the overall cost, schedule and technical development of the Barracuda Support Equipment (SE). The Barracuda SE consists of the following:

+ Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) - tactical equipment used by the fleet for the operation of Barracuda

+ Test Support Equipment (TSE) - surrogate test equipment used to support the Raytheon test program

+ System Integration Lab (SIL) - used to support engineering lab activities.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

+ Managing execution of all technical program scope.

+ Responsible for complex coordination across multiple Raytheon Missile & Defense (RMD) engineering areas, including Systems Engineering, Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, Test Design, Software Engineering and Whole Life Engineering.

+ Interfacing with the Barracuda Program Leadership Team.

+ Preparing briefings as well as presenting and leading technical meetings for internal and external stakeholders / customers.

This role requires travel to Customer facilities in CONUS 10-15% to support program execution and customer meetings, with minimal need for international travel.

This role can either be based at the RMD Portsmouth, RI facility or 100% telecommute.

This position can be a Salary Grade P3 or a Salary Grade P4 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

For a grade level P3, an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience may be considered for this role. A PhD can account for 5 years of experience as required for this role at this grade level.

For a grade level P4, an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience may be considered for this role.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Education: BS in a STEM discipline or a BA in Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry or Physics

Employment Experience:

+ + 5+ years of Integrated Product Team / Cross Product Team, Engineering, Project or Program Management experience

+ Leadership experience in an engineering or other technical environment

+ The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

+ Demonstrated knowledge and experience with IPDS, EVMS, IMS and Risk & Opportunity Management

+ Experience working on Maritime Sustainment or Production programs

+ Experience managing sub-contractor teams

+ Experience presenting Estimate at Completions (EAC) and coordinating proposals

+ Understanding of product lifecycle

+ Experience with Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements and Sustainment activities

+ Six Sigma Specialist; EVMS certified

+ Experience leading diverse cross-functional teams

+ Experience managing multiple technical projects and customer requests in a fast paced environment

+ Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

+ Experience with Microsoft family of Office applications
