are looking for a Lead Engineer to join our Clinicals product team
within our Patient Record and Insights organization. Our team
builds code that matters, working on doctors’ workflows that are
used by over 100,000 healthcare providers daily. This team is
innovative, passionate, and driven by our mission to help make an
impact. We develop workflows that prioritize the doctor/patient
interactions and gives doctors more time doing what attracted many
to medicine in the first place: providing patient care. As an
engineer on the athenaClinicals Patient Record and Insights team,
you will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of product
components and workflows used by doctors and clinicians, such as;
medical history documentation for example allergies or the problem
list, patient risk management, coordination of patient care, and
workflows to help providers prepare for patient visits in
ambulatory settings. You are a developer with experience building
full stack web applications, preferably in public and private cloud
environments. You are an excellent communicator that is capable of
quickly picking up the complicated healthcare space. You are a
tenacious, but nimble learner, who demonstrates design &
engineering excellence. Job Responsibilities Lead, design and
develop code on an agile team of Engineers, a Scrum Master, a
Product Owner, and Experience Designer Collaborate, mentor and
advise team members to promote productivity and effectiveness;
share business and technical insights with the broader engineering
and product organization Develop knowledge to act as a domain
expert. Take ownership of what the team builds and coordinate
efforts across the teams to ensure proper completion Typical
Qualifications 6 years of software engineering experience with
significant product development expertise Proficient in at least
one modern programming language; relational databases, with modern
UI frameworks helpful Familiarity working in Agile methodologies
and CI/DC Knowledge of Unix/Linux, SQL, RESTful API, Java, and AI
is helpful Expected Compensation $143,000 - $243,000 The base
salary range shown reflects the full range for this role from
minimum to maximum. At athenahealth, base pay depends on multiple
factors, including job-related experience, relevant knowledge and
skills, how your qualifications compare to others in similar roles,
and geographical market rates. Base pay is only one part of our
