Job Description:

JetBrains makes industry-leading professional IDEs and team software. We're looking for a Developer Advocate for .NET technologies. The ideal candidate will be a developer with experience in .NET, covering a wide range of technologies such as enterprise backend development (ASP.NET, Entity Framework, Blazor), some frontend development, and good practices like debugging and testing.
We seek an experienced, passionate, and open-minded individual to join our existing .NET Development Advocacy team. You will help promote JetBrains .NET tools to developers and partners and advise product teams based on industry trends and developer feedback.
Responsibilities

• Creating content such as blog posts, videos, tutorials, screencasts, sample code, livestreams, etc., focusing on product promotion and industry stories relevant to .NET developers.
  
• Writing code, such as samples, or contributing to the product.
  
• Inspiring customers by demonstrating how JetBrains tools can solve real-world development problems.
  
• Teaching users how to utilize technologies and JetBrains tools.
  
• Speaking at conferences and participating in booths to grow product awareness and educate potential users.
  
• Giving talks at JetBrains and partner events.
  
• Supporting business development with customer visits, demos, and technical insights.
  
• Building relationships and communication channels with customers.
  
• Engaging with B2B and B2C users.
  
• Providing feedback to product teams.
  
• Offering technical support via various channels.
  
  Requirements
  
  
• 5+ years of development experience.
  
• Knowledge of .NET languages and technologies.
  
• Understanding of industry needs, trends, and technologies related to .NET.
  
• Excellent communication skills, especially storytelling about technology.
  
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
  
• Comfortable with public speaking, remote and in-person presentations, Q&A, and product demos.
  
• Ability to quickly learn and experiment with new technologies.
  
• Willingness to travel.
  
• Self-organization, goal-setting, and time-management skills.
  
• Knowledge of JetBrains tools like Rider or ReSharper; familiarity with dotTrace and dotMemory is a plus.
  
  Preferred qualifications include experience with JetBrains tools, familiarity with other languages (F#, C++, Kotlin), and experience working with distributed teams. A portfolio of speaking engagements and screencasts is also desirable.
