A full-time physical therapist position is available in a school setting located in Hamden, CT, focusing on supporting elementary students with physical therapy needs. This role is ideal for a physical therapist experienced in school-based therapy services, particularly working with children who require assistance in developing gross motor skills and compensatory strategies. Key Responsibilities: Provide physical therapy services to elementary students, addressing gross motor skill development and mobility challenges. Deliver compensatory services tailored to each students individual needs to maximize functional independence. Support students with limited mobility, including those requiring time in a stander. Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to create and implement individualized therapy plans. Maintain detailed documentation and compliance with school and contract requirements. Qualifications: Licensed Physical Therapist with credentials to practice in a school setting. Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in elementary schools. Skilled in gross motor skill development and compensatory service delivery. Ability to manage a full-time caseload and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and school staff.
