Job Description Academic Neurologist, Movement Disorders &
General Neurology -Worcester, MA The Department of Neurology at the
University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) is recruiting an
Academic Movement Disorders & General Neurology clinician. This
individual will have the opportunity to be a part of
patient-centered comprehensive Movement Disorders program with an
established and collegial movement disorders group consisting of 4
MDs and an NP who specializes in DBS programming. The clinician
will have the option of participating in DBS planning during
monthly interdisciplinary meetings with neurosurgery and
neuropsychology, DBS programming and injecting in botulinum toxin
clinic. There is opportunity to work with trainees and medical
students throughout the year both in inpatient and outpatient
settings. This position entails a faculty appointment at UMMS,
which affords exceptional opportunities for professional
development and promotion, and membership in the medical staff at
the UMass Memorial Medical Center , a large, integrated health
system (UMMHC). UMMS and UMMHC combine top-flight clinical care
with world-class research. UMMS has numerous cutting-edge research
programs in RNA biology, gene expression control and human gene
therapy, quantitative health sciences and outcomes research, as
well as a translational program supported by a Clinical
Translational Science Award (CTSA). The Neurology Department is
