Position Overview : We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for gastroenterology, a commitment to patient-centered care, and a desire to work within an innovative, independent practice setting. While prior experience is preferred, we welcome standout applicants who demonstrate potential and a strong willingness to learn. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive physical assessments of patients to evaluate their health status. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses based on clinical findings and patient history. Order and interpret labs and imaging studies to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Develop and implement patient care plans, considering individual needs and treatment goals. Administer medications, including injections, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines. Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures. Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes. Offer support and guidance to medical staff, including training and mentoring as needed. Ensure compliance with all requirements to maintain current state licenses and certifications. Take initial patient histories and perform thorough physical examinations to gather essential diagnostic information. Initiate, document, and communicate the plan of care, ensuring comprehensive screening and preparation of patients for procedures or treatments. Write orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests as part of the care plan. Interpret laboratory and test results, integrating findings into patient management decisions. Consult with attending physicians, residents, nursing staff, and other care providers to ensure high-quality patient care and continuity of treatment. Requirements : Unrestricted Federally Issued DEA license. Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP). Proficiency in a full range of clinical skills relevant to gastroenterology. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
