Speech Language Pathologist Location: Portsmouth, NH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,949 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist Profession: SLP Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:30 - 16:00 Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: New Hampshire License Certifications: CCC-SLP, BLS Must-Have: Strong bedside swallow assessment skills MBSS capability Flexibility and strong communication skills Description: The position involves working with a speech therapy caseload that ranges from 15 to 36 patients. Patient ratios will vary depending on patient complexity, evaluations, and MBSS performed. On average, staffing is 6:1. Current staff includes 2 FTEs, with an additional FTE starting soon, as well as 2 PRN staff members. Ideally, staffing consists of 3 SLPs from Monday to Friday, with 2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. The position utilizes a documentation system. The scheduling requirement is Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. There is no floating policy. Experience in ICU, trauma, neuro, and independent MBSS is desirable, but not required. Strong skills in bedside swallow assessments and cognitive assessments are essential. Experience with trachs and emergency department patients is beneficial. Advanced skills in FEES are not required, though equipment is available. The procedures performed on the unit include bedside swallow assessments and evaluations. The dress code requires scrubs. This position emphasizes strong collaboration within the speech department and across rehabilitation disciplines. The work environment is supported by high staff engagement scores.
