About The Position We are seeking a skilled OB/GYN Physician for a locum tenens assignment through Barton Associates. This opportunity is located in Massachusetts and requires coverage for 56 days, starting 10/02/2025. The ideal candidate will provide 24-hour in-house call coverage from 7:30 AM to 7:30 AM on specified dates throughout October. Responsibilities include performing general obstetrical and gynecological surgical procedures, managing inpatient consults, handling emergency room consultations, and collaborating with midwives and specialty teams. The physician must be proficient in laparoscopic surgery for ectopic pregnancies and comfortable working in a hospital setting using Meditech EHR. Job Details: Location: Massachusetts Facility Type: Hospital Start Date: 10/02/2025 LOA: 56 days Provider Type Needed: Physician (OB/GYN) Schedule: 24-hour in-house call coverage (7:30 AM - 7:30 AM) on specified dates Responsibilities and Duties: • Perform general obstetrical and gynecological surgical procedures • Conduct inpatient consults, both initial and follow-up • Handle emergency room consultations • Independently perform laparoscopic surgery for ectopic pregnancies • Collaborate with midwives, specialty teams, and nurses • Manage patient admissions and deliveries • Participate in patient triage alongside midwives • Utilize Meditech EHR for patient documentation • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care • Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety standards • Be prepared for a wide range of clinical duties as required Additional Information: • Must be licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts • Experience in OB/GYN, particularly with surgical procedures, is required • Proficiency in Meditech EHR is beneficial • Comfort with 24-hour in-house call coverage • Ability to work effectively in a team environment • Possibility of assignment extension Apply now to learn more!
