PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a local contract nursing job in
Newton, Massachusetts. Job Description & Requirements -

weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:12 hours, days - Employment
Type:Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an
experienced Post-Anesthesia Nurse for a contract assignment at a
prestigious hospital in Newton, MA. Job Function: - Day Shift or
Night Shift. - 4x10. - Provides post-operative nursing care in a
compassionate and individualized manner, following directions from
the anesthesiologist and/or attending physician. - Documents all
nursing activities and completes a nursing discharge note when the
anesthesiologist indicates the patient is ready for transfer to the
progressive recovery room. - Ensures all necessary equipment and
supplies are stocked and readily available. - Monitors and records
the patient’s vital signs and level of consciousness according to
nursing protocols. - Assists the anesthesiologist or attending
physician as needed. Job Requirements: - Graduate of an accredited
School of Nursing or holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
(BSN). - Current RN license for the state of Massachusetts. - 2
years of acute PACU nursing experience required. - BLS, ACLS, and
PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required.
