Job Description:
Duties: Serves as Product Manager leading Fundamental and
Quantitative Research technology solution development for multi-asset class
investment solutions. Defines vision and drives the execution of the vision
in coordination with various partners. Performs stakeholder
engagement, delivery commitments, platform enhancements, and stays adept
with new technologies. Leads analysis efforts within the Fundamental and
Quant Research spaces. Manages and mentors business/systems analysts
and quantitative focused engineers. Draws on in-depth knowledge of
the business or function to provide business unit-wide solutions by
developing complex, multi-faceted software applications. Researches and recommends
new technologies in support of the strategic direction of the
business unit and participates in the research and recommendation of appropriate
models, methods, tools, and technologies to achieve business-unit-wide
solutions. Evaluates competitors and the market for capability-oriented and
emerging development and technology trends. Manages and leads a
distributed cross functional team. Primary Responsibilities: • Sets the long-term vision and strategy for fundamental and quantitative research products. • Communicates product strategy to relevant participants and stakeholders. • Manages product development from concept, to design,
sample production, testing, forecast, cost, support, and finally
product end of life. • Delivers the operating plan: achievement of growth
objectives including return on investment for all the channels/categories
of business and/or key customers. • Manages and implements adoption of solutions through
research, strategic planning and implementation. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6)
years of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience
developing program and product strategy solutions to support fundamental
and quantitative research; Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or
foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering,
Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a
closely related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or
four (4) years of experience developing program and product strategy solutions
to support fundamental and quantitative research. Candidate must also
possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) with all phases of partner
engagement and program and product strategy solution development -- definition
of visions and strategies, creation and enhancement of project roadmaps,
project prioritization, and oversight through implementation -- within
an onshore- offshore development team in an asset management environment; DE
defining and developing investment research management systems for multi
asset class program and product strategy solutions, including designing
solutions to collaborate and track meetings, notes, calls, and key
relationships for effective investment workflows and idea generation; DE in
analysis and design of a quantitative investment research infrastructure
and methodologies to support multi-asset class portfolio
construction, including, enhancing quantitative tools (expected return and
risk models, optimizers, simulators, and research databases), implementing
research software solutions, analyzing relative strengths and weaknesses
of quantitative research methodologies, and collaborating with
Quantitative Analysts to facilitate information sharing and leverage
