Commercial Construction ROLE SUMMARY The Project Engineer /
Assistant Project Manager supports the project team in the
planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction
projects. This role assists with scheduling, documentation, safety
coordination, client communication, and financial tracking from
preconstruction through closeout, while helping maintain project
quality, safety, and schedule performance. GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Team Empowerment KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Project Coordination &
Documentation Track and assist in maintaining the overall project
schedule Participate in project walkthroughs and site coordination
activities Ensure materials, equipment, and long-lead items are
ordered and delivered in alignment with project timelines Support
permitting and inspection processes as required Maintain and update
contract drawings and project documentation Safety & Compliance
Assist in development and deployment of site-specific safety plans
Support jobsite safety efforts in coordination with field
leadership Participate in routine jobsite safety inspections using
standardized checklists Document safety observations and assist
with corrective actions Project Controls & Communication Prepare
and maintain submittal, RFI, change order, and contingency logs
Track critical items and assist with follow-up to ensure timely
resolution Lead assigned agenda items during client or internal
meetings Prepare, distribute, and document meeting minutes for
weekly project meetings Support internal operational and project
review meetings Financial & Contract Support Assist with
preparation and issuance of monthly project billings Support
follow-up with clients to ensure timely payment processing Review
scopes of work and assist in subcontract development Quantify and
assist in pricing project changes for owner review Assist with
preparation of change orders, subcontracts, and scope sheets Review
and process subcontractor payment applications for management
approval Closeout & Preconstruction Support Support project
closeout activities, including punch list tracking and closeout
documentation Assist in coordinating final inspections and owner
acceptance Compile warranty information, O&M manuals, and
required closeout documentation Support proposal development and
estimating efforts as needed, including subcontractor outreach and
bid coordination QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Construction
Management or related field 1–3 years of experience supporting
project management functions in commercial construction OSHA 10
certification Proficiency with construction management software and
office tools Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
and specifications Strong organizational skills with the ability to
manage multiple priorities PHYSICAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS Physical
Requirements Ability to perform fine motor tasks using computers,
phones, and writing instruments Ability to sit for extended periods
and transition between office and jobsite environments Ability to
stand, walk, and move throughout active construction sites Visual
acuity including close vision, distance vision, depth perception,
and focus adjustment Work Environment Combination of office and
active jobsite environments Exposure to varying noise levels and
seasonal weather conditions during site visits
