Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. An Early Childhood Special Education Teacher position
is available at a Pre-K center serving approximately 300 students
across two daily sessions (AM: 8:1510:00, PM: 12:002:30). This role
focuses on a substantially separate classroom with 9 students who
have diverse disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
and Developmental Delays (DD), supported by 2 paraprofessionals.
The teacher will provide individualized instruction and support to
promote each student's growth and development. Responsibilities: -
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
tailored to each student's unique needs. - Collaborate closely with
paraprofessionals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure
effective support. - Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to
foster cognitive, social, and emotional development. - Monitor and
document student progress, adjusting instructional methods
accordingly. - Manage classroom behavior and create a positive,
inclusive learning environment. Desired Qualifications: -
Certification in Special Education, preferably with an Early
Childhood focus. - Experience working with young children
exhibiting a range of disabilities, including ASD and DD. - Strong
knowledge of special education laws and best practices. - Ability
to work effectively with paraprofessionals and families. -
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving
skills. Location: Cambridge, MA This contract position begins as
soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year.
The position offers competitive weekly pay and a comprehensive
