construction standards Job Description A client of Insight Global
is looking for a CAD/GIS Technician to support upgrades to a major
energy provider’s distribution grid. In this role, you’ll help
prepare construction plans and schedules for upcoming work on
overhead and underground electrical distribution systems. You will
be responsible for creating work packages, assembling construction
drawings, listing materials needed for each job, and keeping track
of the project scope and schedule. This position requires field
work, where you will visit job sites to take notes, photos, and
measurements. The information you gather will be used to help
develop the final construction designs. Training will be provided
on tools, standards, and calculation procedures. This role is ideal
for someone detail?oriented who enjoys both office and field work
and wants to build experience in the utility industry.
