The Communications and Digital Content Specialist works closely
with the Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs to
support the company's internal and external communication efforts.
This role is pivotal in shaping and promoting corporate culture,
initiatives, programs, and events through various channels. It
involves writing, developing digital content, and planning to
enhance the company s overall communication strategy and social
media presence. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a
dynamic and evolving corporate culture and the ideal candidate will
be a creative and strategic thinker capable of developing
compelling narratives and innovative digital content. Approximately
80% of the time will be dedicated to communications projects and
approximately 20% of the time will be focused on digital projects.
Essential DutiesCommunication Strategy:Message Coordination: Work
with the Communications Director to craft and coordinate critical
messages for internal and external audiences. Develop themes and
narratives that align with corporate goals and initiatives.Timeline
Planning: Assist in planning and executing communication
strategies, including scheduling, and managing timelines for
campaigns, initiatives, and events. Ensure timely and consistent
messaging across all platforms.Content Development:Written Content:
Create, edit, and proofread various written materials, including
press releases, newsletters, internal memos, and corporate
announcements. Ensure all content aligns with the company's tone,
style, and messaging guidelines.Digital Content: Develop engaging
digital content, including social media posts, blog entries,
website updates, and multimedia content. Design independently or
collaborate with graphic designers and other creative team members
to produce visually appealing and cohesive content.Produce content,
design, and videos for the weekly town hall and all live employee
meetings.Departmental Support:Operations Assistance: Assist with
the day-to-day operations of the Communications and Corporate
Affairs department, including managing deadlines, coordinating
projects, and liaising with other departments and external
partners. Develop and maintain corporate communication templates
and standards, keeping them up-to-date and easily
accessible.Accountable for managing internal communication channels
(digitals, texting, internal website, print and etc)Monitor the
quality and consistency of all photography, videos, online
marketing, website, social media assets, internal/external
presentations, newsletters, and press releases.Assist with any
other projects as assigned by the head of the department.Event
Coordination: Support the planning and execution of corporate
events, including internal meetings, employee recognition events,
public relations events, and community outreach programs.Social
Media Management: Content Creation/Presence Enhancement: Work to
develop and enhance the company's social media presence by creating
and curating content that engages followers and promotes the
company's brand and values. Work with the Marketing department and
other Blount Social Media producers for alignment across brands,
channels, etc. Analytics and Reporting: Monitor social media
metrics and analytics to gauge the effectiveness of campaigns and
strategies. Provide regular performance reports and suggest
improvements. Qualifications:Bachelor s Degree in Communications,
Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related
field.Creative storyteller able to help key stakeholders tell their
stories through digital, print, and video.Strong interpersonal and
communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a
team environment.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet
deadlines.Service-oriented thinking & strong project management
skillset(1.5+ years) experience in a communication, digital content
role or marketing role(1.5 + years) experience with video editing,
digital content creation tools(Canva/Adobe Illustrator and video
editing tools and social media platforms.Ability to support a
community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive
environment. Excellent user skills in MS Office (Excel, Word,
