wonderful club members! We are hiring for a seasonal, full-time
Restaurant Manager. The Restaurant Manager will ensure that the
highest standards of service are provided to our members and that a
positive team environment is fostered consistently. The ideal
candidate will have extensive knowledge of Bar operations and a
passion for exceeding member expectations. This position will be on
staff from March-September. Reports To: Food and Beverage Director
Career Level: Seasonal Entry Level Management All Club employees
must represent and facilitate the mission, vision, and strategic
themes of the Club. It is expected that all employees will review
the Employee Handbook and the Member Yearbook. Scope and Function
The Restaurant Manager will work closely with the Food and Beverage
team to provide exceptional member and employee experiences. The
Restaurant Manager will ensure that all staff feel welcome and
appreciated by conveying a strong sense of hospitality and
professionalism within our team and for our members. Restaurant
Operations: Oversee the daily operation of the Food & Beverage
department. Ensure bars are set up and operate efficiently while
meeting Board of Health requirements. Ensure that all state and
local laws and club policies and procedures for the service of
alcoholic beverages are consistently followed. Collaborate with
Front Desk staff regarding dining reservations. Create server
sections based on reservations and weather, noting Bridge member
placement (Flags). Facilitate pre-meal meetings every shift that
you are leading. Ensure staff have completed opening and closing
side work properly and remain diligent during the shift. Assist
staff with any issues that arise during the shift to include member
concerns, Point of Sale training/correction, etc. Present on the
floor interacting with members and supporting staff in service
during the shift. Staff Management: Ensure a positive work
environment through thoughtful training, evaluation, and management
in a manner that demonstrates fairness, positive reinforcement, and
careful use of the progressive discipline system. Solicit, measure,
and manage member and employee feedback. Communicate with
appropriate stakeholders. Partner with FBD and Human Resources to
recruit, hire and onboard/offboard staff. Ensure all staff are
properly onboarded and have provided the required certifications
before being scheduled. Provide consistent, effective training for
all staff to deliver exceptional service to members and guests.
Manage uniform inventory and delivery to all staff. Create and
manage the schedule on a 2-week rolling basis- adjust for weather
and Club events. Ensure staff adherence to all Club Standard
Operating Policies (Attendance, Appearance, Cell Phone). Ensure
that staff complete and submit accurate end-of-shift paperwork to
Finance. Assist staff with any issues including member concerns,
Point of Sale training/correction, etc. Maintenance/Safety Prep:
Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are in place and
followed rigorously. Develop and conduct regular staff training and
emergency drills with all staff. Respond to emergencies and
incidents in a prompt and effective manner. File all incident
reports with the General Manager and Human Resources immediately.
Coordinate with the Facilities Manager to complete maintenance
needs of the facility as needed. When opening, ensure all lighting
and sound is correct to welcome the membership. Implement and
utilize OSHA safety procedures when needed. Implement and utilize
proper safety procedures when operating the fireplaces, and heat
lamps/sternos. Maintain all food prep and service equipment in good
working order. Ensure the Clubhouse is secure when your shift
requires you to be the last person in the building. Budget
Management: Monitor expenses and seek cost-saving opportunities.
Manage staff hours to eliminate overtime expenses. Schedule: The
Club's schedule is unique in that we are a seasonal operation, open
from April-November. It is expected that you may work the following
schedule: High Season: Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day - 6
days averaging 45 – 55 hours a week Pre- and Post High Season:
March, April, May, September and - 5 days averaging 40 - 50 hours a
week Night, weekend, and holiday work are required. Compensation:
$40,000 - $45,000 DOE for the season Education and Certifications
Required: High School diploma or GED required. BS/BA Degree
recommended, not required. Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED
certification required. Valid ServSafe and Allergan certifications
required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to present the
membership with a safe, clean, and enjoyable space to congregate.
Knowledge of current Local, State, and Federal Sanitation Codes.
Positive and professional attitude with a high degree of integrity.
Strong work ethic and ability to handle a fast-paced, high-energy
environment. Intuitive style resulting in a sincere and visibly
engaged presence with members, guests, and staff. Physical Demands
and Work Environment Physical ability and stamina to stand/remain
stationary, walk/move, lift, stoop, kneel, pull, balance, crouch,
bend, reach, twist, jump and stretch for long periods of time. Must
have adequate visual acuity to view and spot safety hazards and
issues to ensure a safe and organized work environment. Will be
subject to outside environmental conditions (heat and cold), and
moderate to occasionally high levels of noise. Professional
uniformed or business attire and polished appearance required.
